iClever Smart Outdoor Outlet (2 AC Ports)

The iClever Smart Outdoor Outlet ($25.99) is a must-have smart home device for anyone with outdoor lights and small appliances.

It contains two AC ports that can be controlled individually through the Smart Life app or via Alexa/Google Assistant. Additionally the outlet can be used in customized scenes and routines through the voice assistants or within the app.

But that's not all...

It has an IP44 rating which will protect it from most splashes and dust particles. This makes it ideal for outdoor settings just as long as the outlet is elevated a few feet off the ground.

So what are you waiting for...more proof?

Well I'll be happy to oblige, so let's dive in and explore this affordable and practical smart device further.

Top 10 Pros

Below is a list of my favorite pros that I've uncovered from the iClever smart outlet; I think you'll be amazed at what it can do.

10 Best Features

  • Alexa/Google Assistant Voice Control
  • Smart Life App
  • Used With Scenes & Routines
  • Partially Waterproof
  • Safety Protections
  • 2 Available AC Ports
  • Individual Port Control
  • Sturdy Build
  • Used With IFTTT
  • 18-Month Warranty With 30 Day Money Back

Alexa/Google Assistant Voice Control

For many of us that already use voice assistants, here's another way to utilize them.

The iClever smart outdoor outlet can be used by multiple voice assistants once set-up, and man is setup a breeze nowadays...it took me all of 5 minutes to hook up both.

Now I have the outlet right outside my home while being able to control it from inside, and it's a really nice luxury. With voice control, you can ask Google or Alexa to turn on/off the switches simultaneously or individually, but that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Note: iClever Smart Outlet contains physical on/off switch in case the app/voice controls are not functioning properly.

Smart Life App

Don't have a voice assistant, well don't worry.

With the Smart Life App, you can pretty much do everything you would with Google/Alexa and then some.

I really love how carefully laid out each option is on the app (the setup was particularly helpful), but there's dozens of other features on there including the ability to create a routine, create a scene, or trigger the outlet via a timer, sunset/sunrise times, and more.

Used With Scenes & Routines

Speaking of scenes/routines, this is an excellent feature to have implemented.

Whether I'm using the app or Alexa/Google, I can opt-in my outlet into an established routine or scene that I've created. This allows me to trigger multiple actions with a single command.

Right now I have a customized routine where I'll say, "Alexa good night", and the switches outside turn off (shutting off my patio lights) and all the smart light inside do the same. It makes everything so much easier and much more fluid.

Partially Waterproof

The outlet is rated IP44, which makes it great against splashes and most dust particles.

The only caveat is that the outlet must be facing down when plugged in, and it should be a few feet above the surface. IP44 offers decent protections but it isn't fully waterproof so any level of submersion will permanently damage the device.

In other words, be careful where you place it.

Safety Protections

There's a lot more safety to be had with a multitude of secure protections in place that will prevent overheating, short-circuiting, etc.

Because items will be plugged into the AC ports, it's crucial that they don't get damaged for any reason. Luckily this outlet knows how to react to what's plugged in and it has many necessary certs that should quell safety concerns.

If you really think about it, this may be the most important feature out of this lot.

2 Available AC Ports

I'm so happy they included 2 AC ports because that literally doubles the device's functionality.

I have two sets of lights plugged into it, and it has saved me time, effort, and space than it would have otherwise. If there'a a lot of lights or appliances you wish to control remotely, then I think you'll be especially happy with this feature.

Individual AC Port Control

What's good with having 2 ports if they can't be controlled separately...well this item solved that problem too.

I've renamed each port and when I tell Alexa or Google to turn on/off something, it'll only trigger that item instead of both. This makes it feel like you have two smart devices in one and I"m all for it.

You do have the option to control the switch as a whole (app & voice), so if that's where your needs lie then you have nothing to worry about.

Sturdy Build

I'm shocked at how sturdy and tough this outlet feels, but maybe I shouldn't be given it's made of a flame-retardant polycarbonate.

And my goodness does it make it feel premium.

It's clearly made to last, which is why I think consumers will find this particular smart device more enticing than the rest.

Used With IFTTT

For those unfamiliar, IFTTT allows you to create your own app recipes to trigger thousands of useful tasks and actions that standard voice assistants can't replicate.

For this product, the company has even included guidelines within the user manual on how to create your own recipes through IFTTT.

I don't use IFTTT often, but I like the having the choice to do so if I ever wanted to get more creative.

18-Month Warranty With 30 Day Money Back

Not satisfied with your purchase, no worries.

iClever offers an 18 month replacement warranty of this product with a 30 day worry-free money back option and lifetime tech support. This is all included on their warranty card, which also has their contact information in case you have questions about your product/s.

You can find iClever on various social media pages including Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Finally you can extend your warranty by an extra year if you register with their super user program.

I believe you can never go wrong with a good warranty program.

Final Review

I've been using my new iClever outlet for a while now, and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

I would give the iClever Smart Outdoor Outlet (2 AC Ports) 4.9 out of 5.

There are many pros and excellent features that will satisfy most consumers, and you'll appreciate the attention to safety that's often ignored. My one complaint would be that I wish the cord length was a bit longer, but other than that it's a great product.

I think if you're in the market for an outdoor smart device that'll control your porch/patio lights, fountains, small appliances, etc then this will have you covered.

So what are you waiting for...please try out the iClever Smart Outdoor Outlet for yourself and start living in the future.
