Review of Choetech Wireless Car Charger
Choetech's Fast Wireless Car Charger
It delivers 10W of fast charging speeds that can charge your Android devices 1.4 times faster than normal when paired with a Quick Charge power adapter (not included). For iPhones and older phones, 7.5W of fast iPhone charging and 5W standard settings will be applied
The mount can securely clamp to your horizontal air vents, and its adjustable side grips will ensure that your phone & mount stays untouched even in the bumpiest of conditions.
In addition, the Choetech charger has full safety certifications including overcharge, overheat, and over-current protections, so you'll never have to worry about it damaging your phone.
How to Set Up Car Mount
Place the bearing into the cap
- Insert the vent clamp into the screw nut
- Screw the vent clamp onto the charger
- Attach the clamp onto your air vent by holding down the bottom release button
- Insert your phone from the top of the mount until the side brackets are comfortably wrapped around it
- Make sure the bottom of the phone rests securely above the bottom clamping arm
- To remove phone, pull it upward and through the top
The user manual provides both visual and textual guidelines if you need additional assistance, however, the setup process is pretty self-explanatory once you unbox your product.
If you plan on using the wireless charging function, then please remove any cards/magnetic chips on your phone or within your phone's case. I also recommend removing the protective case to receive more efficient and faster charging.

Best Features of Choetech Wireless Charger
After a few days of testing, I was quite impressed with how well it performed. With that said, here are just some of my favorite features.
4 Best Features
Three Wireless Charging Modes
- Air Vent Grip
- Broad Device Compatibility
- Complete Safety Protections
Three Wireless Charging Modes
As mentioned, the wireless charging has a 10W, 7.5W, and 5W power mode for every Qi-enabled device imaginable.
The only caveat is that you'll need to purchase a Quick Charge car adapter such as Choetech's version to enable fast charging capabilities.
The 10W version works with Samsung phones above the S6 Edge, the 7.5W mode works with Qi iPhone models like the X, XR, XS, XS Max, and 8/8+, and the 5W standard works with all other older Qi models.
The three modes ensure widespread compatibility that make the product worth buying.
Air Vent Grip
The air vent grip is a great alternative to messier, installation heavy car mounts that require tools or sticky padding, and the vent grips are surprisingly stable.
I've tested the grip on a variety of roads, and I never once worried that the mount or phone would fall off. The anti-slip L-shaped hook provides tightness, stability, and security while also making it easy to remove.
This simple removal is so much better than alternative options, and you can take it on-the-go or transfer it to any vehicle in seconds.
Broad Device Compatibility
The charging modes aren't the only thing that make this a broad-use product.
With the adjustable side brackets and gravity linkage design, any phone can be placed into the mount no matter how tall or wide they are.
The gravity linkage is particularly enticing because it allows you to operate your mount using only one hand. You just have to slide the phone into the mount, and the product does all the work for you.
Each phone placed is made to fit perfectly inside the mount, and you'll never have to worry about it popping out.
Complete Safety Protections
Choetech's products have been fitted with top of the line safety protections for over charge, current, and overheating. The clamps also contain anti-slip silicone that's great when traveling.
The CE, FCC, RoHS, and ETL safety certifications were implemented to ensure nothing ever happens to your phones or gadgets when in use. I imagine most products have these safety certs, but often it's not explicitly stated like it is here.
It's quite amazing how a few design choices can enable so much functionality.
I haven't found many issues in any of Choetech's products, and the same theme applies here.
I would give the Choetech Wireless Car Charger 4.5 out of 5 stars.
My only concern is that occasionally the device would stop charging my phone when I'm driving. I'm not sure if that's due to the size of my phone (Samsung Galaxy S8) or if the charger's coils aren't large to support it.
It's often the latter, but again that's a frequent complaint among many Qi chargers. Other than that, I haven't seen any red flags. The mount is completely stable, the side grips adhere perfectly to my phone, and the charging functionality works most of the time.
I have a Quick Charge adapter, so I'm able to take advantage of the fast charging features, which is a plus. If you don't have one, then you can usually find them online for $10 to $20. I would highly recommend getting one because the difference in charging speeds between a standard and QC adapter is huge.
My overall consensus is that if you're in the market for a strong phone mount that can do more than just hold your phone, then you should 100 percent purchase this device. If you're unsure whether you'll require the Qi charging feature, then you should still consider the mount because it's relatively inexpensive.
Your current phone may not have Qi or you may not think you need it, but I guarantee that won't be the case going forward. I suggest you future-proof yourself now rather than get left behind.
The Choetech Wireless Car Charger is highly worth the consideration; I was happy to try it out, and I think you'll be happy too.
