A car with a dashcam catches two vehicles colliding on a highway. A convertible car is in the right lane as a semitruck begins to pass it on the left. But the car ends up hanging out in the truck's blind spot for a bit too long.

"Truck is at fault," says @jennifermontes302. "But I’m not sure how the car didn’t pay attention to the truck trying to get behind him. Not smart."

"Why would the car driver pay attention if the truck goes behind?" questions @drankieland. "It's 100% the truck's fault."

Viewer of the video @missambermarie answers, "Because it's literally your job as a car driver to be aware of the truck's blind spots and not hang out in them."

"It’s called defensive driving, writes @jennifermontes302. "You have to also be aware of your surroundings. But yes, the trucker was 100% at fault, no doubt."

"Reasons I hate driving next to them," says @alpha_bitches_121221. "I've literally gotten off the interstate three exits before I had to, because one was all over the road."

According to reader @maddie_andrews17, "The thing is I think the truck driver had seen the car because he was the one in the passing lane in the beginning gaining on the car," she says.

We post videos such as these as part of our coverage because we hope there are specific behaviors drivers can learn and implement to help make our roads safer for all of us.
