One of the biggest conveniences of today's society is the time tiny computer we have in our pockets at all times. It works as a phone, a camera, a book and sometimes a scanner. It's these little features that make our lives so much better. And what's amazing is that we're discovering new features every day.

A video posted by TikTok account @hardreset.info shows one of these newer features in action. They demonstrate how you can use the Notes app on your iPhone to scan documents. If you're someone who does a lot of reading on the go, this can be a real game-changer.

As the video illustrated, all you have to do is press down on the Notes app icon and click "scan document". Hold your phone up to the document you want to scan, and your phone will capture it like a picture and embed it in a Notes document. This will be incredibly helpful if you're someone who likes to annotate and take notes on documents without having to lug around a big laptop or iPad.

Other TikTok users were excited to use this hack. "Thank you for that!" @anna.daye said. "That’s cool. I had no idea about that," @usedebbieallman said. "Wow this is amazing," @amorette56isaislamdgirl said.

Some users pointed out that you can use your iPhone camera for a similar function and just paste the photo into the Notes app. However, we find that using the notes up directly gives you a clearer image plus you won't need to switch between apps.

If you've never tried this hack before, definitely check it out.
