Watch This Robot-Assisted Surgeon Peel A Grape With Extreme Precision

If surgeons can peel a grape with robotic tools, that's somewhat helpful to alleviate stress around surgery.

It’s been said for years that robots will soon be performing surgery on humans, which frankly freaks out quite a few folks.

However, it might scare you even more to hear that robotic surgeries are already underway. That is, until you see the below video.

Watch as this surgeon uses robotic tools to peel the skin off a grape with insane precision.

That’s pretty incredible, with implications for the future of medicine that make us at least feel pretty darn comfortable. Thanks to Joen1369 for posting this fascinating TikTok.

This is actually known as the Da Vinci Surgical System, which was first designed in 2000 and is still in use today, likely after several upgrades. It’s most commonly used in hysterectomies and prostate removal surgeries.

The precision of these robotic implements is amazing, and the viewers agree.

“The development of humankind never ceases to amaze me,” gleamed one commenter.

“The peeling isn't amazing,” one commenter said before admitting, “I can do that with my teeth with no damage to the green bit, but reattaching is the cool bit.”

Finally, there are plenty of jokes in the comments as well.

“Postop: “Everything went well,” one commenter said. “The patient did grape!”
