Imagine you are many stories up in a skyscraper and there was an emergency serious enough that the only way out was through the window. It would be very nice to have a backpack like this man, who pokes his back out the window and pulls a cord.

Take a look at how it works in this video posted to TikTok by user @futur3ology.

"Must have," announces a viewer of the video.

"Unless wind smacks you against building," remarks a user who is thinking about what could go wrong.

Imagine being in an emergency where this had to be used and there was only one of them.

"Not practical for just one person," writes a commenter. "There's probably 20 people in that small area would need to use it."

"I love it," says a video watcher.

"Make it affordable and small as possible," suggests another.

This user offers an alternative that also has the advantage of it being possible for multiple people to use it. "Just use a rope and harness," he says.
